Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus)

The snowy owl nests in its summer range in the arctic,where they breed. Winters are spent in the south, usually southern Canada or the northern USA. This young owl was found hunting vacant farm lands on Simcoe Island near Kingston Ontario.
