Stars Over Lake Ontario

Photographed at astronomical midnight on the summer solstice, the galactic center is at its maximum elevation above the horizon. The glow over the lake to the left is Rochester, New York, and that to the right comes from Buffalo New York, Niagra Falls and St Catherines Ontario, both on the opposite side of Lake Ontario.
