Just outside Martinsburg, New York, is a municipal camp ground and park next to Roaring Brook. From the campground, a set of stairs leads to the riverbed, and a short treck east from the stairs bring you to a steep set of rock stairs which you can climb down to the base of the falls. Our visit was in the summer. One can imagine the river in spring with the water engulfing the entire riverbed. This set of cascades would definitely roar. The falls are named after the family which settled the area and donated the land for the campground.
