  • Built in 1819, St. Clement Church overlooks the town of Beauharnois, Quebec.

  • Prince Edward Island probably has more United Churches per capita than any other area I have visited, likely due to the strong Presbyterian beliefs of its original settlers. The Princetown United Church in Malpeque, PEI was recognized as a national historic site in 2007.

  • Built between 1855 and 1858, this neoclassical building in Kingston, Ontario was designed by architect Edward Horsey. The central dome tower was added as an alteration after a fire in 1874. It is still an operating courthouse, but was designated a National Historic Site in1980, and is administered by Parks Canada.

  • Designed by Andrew Jackson Warner of Rochester, this High Victorian Gothic was completed in 1875.  Built to house the municipal and county offices, it came with its own ghosts. The site was formerly occupied by the Franklin Street Cemetary. It now serves as the Erie County records office, and the municipal offices moved to the new Buffalo City Hall in 1930.

  • The Madeleine Parent bridge spans the St Lawrence River, linking Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (Grande Ile) to Saint-Lazare, just west of where the Ottawa River joins the St. Laurence River at Lac St-Louis.
